Fran Bortolossi is a musician, DJ, music producer, entrepreneur, and above all, a passionate lover of electronic music.
Hailing from Caxias do Sul, Brazil, Fran has built an impressive career with remarkable consistency. His journey has taken him from North to South Brazil and to international tours, performing at iconic clubs such as Egg (London), Watergate (Berlin), and Pacha (Barcelona). In Argentina, he has developed a deep connection with the local scene, playing at legendary venues in Buenos Aires like Mandarine Park, Crobar, and Bahrein. Over recent years, Fran has captivated audiences in cities like Mar del Plata, Córdoba, and Rosario with electrifying sets.
As a producer, Fran crafts pure House Music and its variations, including Tech House, Progressive, and Deep House. His tracks and collaborations have been released by prestigious labels like Great Stuff, Get Physical, and Warung Recordings. At Otherwise, the label he co-runs with Kolombo, Fran showcases his curatorial eye, offering a platform for emerging talents.
Fran’s relationship with the arts began early in life, influenced by his mother, a pianist. Immersed in music from a young age, he grew into a dynamic figure within the vibrant electronic scene in southern Brazil. By the age of 25, he was already a promising DJ and was organizing his own events under the banner of COLOURS.
COLOURS quickly became a staple in Rio Grande do Sul’s electronic music scene. Now with over 120 editions, it is a national reference for production and curation, hosting global icons like Dubfire, Joris Voorn, and Chris Liebing in Brazil’s Serra Gaúcha region.
An unstoppable music enthusiast, Fran has also hosted a radio show on Jovem Pan in Serra Gaúcha since 2017. His stellar career is a testament to his relentless passion and dedication to achieving his dreams.
